**DEPOSIT TAKEN** Hello and welcome to the sale of this incredible Morris Minor van. Supplied new to the Head Postmaster Sutton, Surrey, in April 1971, before then being transferred to the North Western District office, it was eventually de-fleeted and retired to Civilian life in 1978.
Since then, it has been in the hands of dedicated enthusiasts and collectors, until more recently being acquired and subsequently restored by the popular TV series 'Salvage Hunters-Classic cars'. Furthermore, the sale of the vehicle will be documented by the show and the lucky buyer of this amazing vehicle will also receive the opportunity to star alongside it. Full details of this is available to prospective purchasers. As regards to the actual vehicle, it is quite simply one of the best we have seen! It has been painstakingly restored to exacting standards and the upmost detail by renowned Morris Minor restorers Charles Ware. It retains many original parts and features, making a very complete and authentic vehicle. This includes the Post office specification door locking systems, along with many other fixtures and fittings ensuring both the look and function is accurate and period correct. There are absolutely no signs of corrosion anywhere, the paintwork has been carried out to a very high standard and it has been fully rustproofed underneath. Much of the running gear is new or refurbished, including a very healthy engine producing good power and that fabulous and very distinctive noise! The original engine is also included in the sale should the new owner wish. On the road it performs exactly as it should, with positive feedback through the controls and everything operating correctly. It is also well shod with modern period look Pirelli tyres, and converted to use unleaded fuel, to align with modern motoring standards. There is only one seat in the cab, as per the correct PO spec, however a passenger seat could be sourced and fitted easily should you wish to share the experience! The van presents very well indeed inside and out, with seemingly nothing out of place, worn or in need of attention. All the hard work has been done! To sum up, this is an immediately useable and enjoyable piece of British motoring history, I am confident it will bring much joy to the new owner and will be sure to gain much admiration from the old and young alike at this year's shows! Note: CSC are pleased to be acting as an agent for the sale of this particular vehicle on behalf of the current owner and vendor. Approx 100 Hi-res photos are available on our own website.
