Hello and welcome to the sale of this glorious MG TF1500. This car has clearly been cherished with an enormous accompanying history file, and has been in long term ownership since the 1980s. As a historic registered vehicle it is now tax and MOT exempt, although the car will of course be subject to our usual safety checks upon sale. Having been subject to an older restoration many years ago, and whilst not in concourse condition (and therefore not concourse money), presents very well indeed with a nice level of genuine patina which maintains continuity throughout the car. Everything is in good used condition, yet nothing looks brand new, which gives it a very authentic look and feel. The car is finished in the classic combo of red with tan leather trim, and is a real looker! It also comes with full weather gear, including a replacement beige roof, door tops and tonneau cover, again all in great condition. The car starts very well with no excess effort, and sits very nicely on the road with a surprisingly compliant ride, a great sound and pleasing throttle response from the lively 1500 motor, which is running very well on twin SU carbs. To sum up this is an extremely usable and instantly enjoyable example of this ever popular classic British sports car, with equal potential to either enjoy 'as is' or take up to the next level should the desire arise in the future.
